the Satrosphere Science Centre in Aberdeen opened its doors for public viewing in 1988. This intriguing centre for science boasts more than 50 practical and interactive exhibits. It is also well known for its fascinating live science shows that inspires and entertains both scientists and families as a whole. A registered Scottish education charitable trust, Satrosphere Limited aims at encouraging the understanding of science amongst the public. Located just 10 minutes walk from the heart of the city, Satrosphere Science Centre is part of Sensation Dundee, Glasgow Science Centre, Our Dynamic Earth in Edinburgh and the Scottish Science Centres Network.

The main aim of this prolific science centre is to instil inspiration amongst future scientists and increase interest in science courses conducted in various Universities. Current exhibitions include the BBC Walking with Beasts Exhibition which tells the story of ancient fearsome creatures that lived on earth some millions of years ago. The DNA Interactive exhibitions reveal how DNA affects human health. Other exhibitions scheduled to be showcased at the Satrosphere Science Centre consist of Ganga and the Shark, How Hot are You and Spooky Halloween Party. A must see place at the Satrosphere Science Centre is the Science Shop.
